Ernie brings extensive experience in youth sports, having worked with multiple clubs and teams over the years. He holds several certifications and licenses from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), including the National Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma, Futsal Diploma and Goalkeeper Diploma. As Youth Sports Director of Coaching, Ernie oversees coaching operations, recruits and trains coaches, and designs development programs for athletes. He fosters a culture of sportsmanship and personal growth, helping players build confidence and a love for the game. Ernie develops training sessions for recreational coaches, supports travel team coaches, and introduced an updated online curriculum for easy access to coaching materials. He also helped launch Freeland Soccer’s Junior Academy for players aged 4-9, focusing on early player development. Ernie works closely with families and local organizations to ensure the program is accessible for all while promoting the growth of young athletes both on and off the field.
